Schedule Axle Service

Your heavy-duty axles are the only part of your drivetrain that’s connected directly to your wheel hubs. They’re responsible for taking power from your differential and using it to spin your wheels. Although these axles are generally quite tough, they’re not immune to wear and tear. Whether it be by overloading your truck or an axle housing leak, heavy-duty axles can break and or seize. Fortunately, for anyone who’s struggling with damaged axles, we here at Neudorf Enterprises provide heavy-duty axle services of all kinds. Whether you need to get an axle replaced or just greased, you can rest assured knowing we’ve got great services for you.

Symptoms of Heavy-duty Axle Damage

Non-spinning Wheels

While driving, if you notice that one or more of your drivewheels is not spinning, stop your vehicle immediately. Whether it be due to a differential that’s malfunctioning or a seized axle, this is severe damage that needs to be dealt with immediately. Fortunately, we here at Neudorf Enterprises are heavy-duty axle experts. We’ll fix the malfunction and replace any damaged parts. You can rest assured knowing we’ll have your axles back in good working condition in no time.

Poor Performance

One major symptom of a snapped axle is very poor performance. A wheel with a snapped axle has zero resistance on it, meaning most differentials will divert power towards them. This is because the vast majority of differentials operate on the basis of the path of least resistance. Depending on the type of drivetrain setup you have, you may not be able to move your vehicle at all. Take a large dually pickup truck as an example. If it’s rear-wheel drive, you’ll have all the power from your engine traveling to a wheel with no resistance. Unless that truck is equipped with a locking differential, that truck’s not going to move.
